Any two Toastmasters ‘in good standing’ may submit a nomination for the District 64 Leadership Awards which recognize contributions and achievements completed during the current Toastmasters year (July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018). The nominee must meet the expectations of one of the following awards, as outlined in the nomination form – available on the District 64 website. http://district64.ca/
Nomination deadline for the following four awards is June 30, 2018.
The Toastmaster of the Year award recognizes a Toastmaster for outstanding contributions to their club and to the District and also for participating in the educational programs of Toastmasters.
The Division Director of the Year award recognizes outstanding performance as Division Director.
The Area Director of the Year – Urban award recognizes outstanding performance as Area Director for clubs which are mainly in or near Winnipeg.
The Area Director of the Year – Rural award recognizes outstanding performance as Area Director for clubs which are mainly in communities further from Winnipeg.
Remember: Two nominators are required for each nomination.
Hello,
Who is the Chairman of the Awards Committee? Who are the members of the Awards Committee?
How does a Toastmaster become a member or Chairman of the Awards Committee?
Why aren’t the runners up to the Toastmaster, Area and Division Awards announced ( as we do with all the District Contests )?
With only 6 Division Directors, why aren’t they all be automatically nominated ie As it stands, the most successful Division Director wouldn’t be considered over the least productive Division Director if the least productive Director was the only one nominated.
Wouldn’t the Trio be the most informed group to nominate Division Directors? Wouldn’t the Division Directors be the most informed group to nominate Area Directors? If this were added as one of their duties next year, and would create 6 nominees ie the same amount of people we have at all the Speech Contests.
